Canada is the world’s second largest country, surpassed only by the Russian federation. Canada has an extremely varied topography. Canada is a federation of ten provinces and three territories. Canada is governed by its own House of Commons, while the governor general is officially representative of Queen Elizabeth II. In reality, the governor general acts only on the advice of the Canadian prime minister. The image of Canada as a frigid northern climate is not totally accurate. Canada’s climate is as varied as its topography, and this great expansive country includes a collection of extremes.
Canada has a large domestic and foreign tourism industry. The second largest country in the world, Canada’s incredible geographical variety is a significant tourist attractor. There are 17 World Heritage sites in Canada. Of these 17 sites, 8 are Cultural Heritage and 9 are Natural Heritage.
Canada is an immense country with diversity in its people, its landscape, its climate and its way of life. Canadian does share the same important values. Canadians may be different from each other but it is these shared values that makes Canada a friendly, caring, peace, loving and secure society to live.
